From idea to innovation

Outside, the market is hoping for a specific cutting solution. Inside, an experienced MARTOR team believes in its ideas and "moulds" them into a new form – this is how innovative cutting tools are created by professionals for professionals.

Initial sketches

Every beginning is creative. Once the starting point is clear, it is time to experiment and visualise. Many sheets of paper and pens later, we have real plans that our specialist departments can use to continue with the planning process. We quickly realised that something completely new was needed – safety knives with an open design.

First prototype

An exciting moment: the first samples! How do they look, how do they feel? And above all: how does everything fit together to create a new high-performance tool? Very well, to anticipate the outcome. The combination of aluminium and metal detectable plastic was exactly the right decision...

First test samples at the customer's premises

We put our products into practice as early as possible, because our users are our best critics. For the SECUNORM 610 XDR, this meant that the new coupling gear inside, which the lever uses to activate the blade, had to prove itself in real-world use over several weeks. Many thanks to the wonderful companies that opened their doors to us and tested our concept models with us.

The finished product

We test and optimise until we have the perfect product in our hands. In this case, the world's first product for special challenges, the SECUNORM 610 XDR. Much to the delight of our customers and dealers.
